Live Fire Training

Certification with New England Firearms Academy is a requirement to book a session; individuals certified by other academies should pursue further training with their respective academy.

This class will help you develop the skills needed to effectively defend yourself with a firearm. The class is designed for students that have just completed a Basic Firearms Safety Class and now want to learn the fundamentals of defensive shooting.

In this live fire class, we will cover the following:

​

• Proper Grip and Stance

• Sight Alignment and Sight Picture

• Trigger Control

• Sighted vs Unsighted Fire (point shooting)

• Proper Presentation of Firearm from the Holster

• Multiple Target Engagement

We will also review and evaluate equipment to help you figure out what works best, what does not work, and why.

​

All students will need the following:

​

• 200 Rounds of Target Ammo

• Eye and Ear Protection

• A Quality Firearm

• At Least 3 Magazines

• Retention Holster

• Magazine Holder

Some classes are held outside, so please come prepared for the weather
